Who To Marry?

Who you marry - or who you don't marry will be - without doubt - your most important life decision. After all, occupations can be changed - allthough it may not be easy - there are many doctors who did not like their professions and then became something else - like a lawyer. And if you make a wrong decision on a half million dollar house you can always sell the house and maybe not even lose money. But if you marry the wrong person - and have one or more children you are practically guaranteed almost a lifetime of unhappiness or even outright misery.
This is the reason why we wrote our first book - Sex Is Not Enough: The Do's and Don'ts of Spouse Selection and, we are busily working on our second book on this subject "Who to Marry" which discusses the same subject from a somewhat different angle.
Our books are designed with two purposes in mind: first, to help you locate a possible spouse and, secondly, once you find a possible prospect to help you make a decision: Reject this one? Accept that one? Etc... Admittedly both the searching and the decision making are not easy - as evidenced by the fact that 67% of all marriages now end in divorce. Also, many of the 33% who do stay married are anything but happy. As one of the marriage authorities writes, "a good percentage of these turn out to be "flat-line" marriages, largely devoid of passion and even friendship after the first few years (if you are lucky).
We know this sounds like a dismal introduction but now here is the good news: if you are smart enough, or lucky enough (or a combination of both) to marry the right spouse you will enter the wonderful world of love till "death do you part". Or to put it another way, many many years of real fun and satisfaction. That is what you should aim for and that is why we wrote the book: to help you achieve this happy objective.
The purpose of this blog is to invite questions, comments, and ideas concerning the subject of spouse selection.
